MocapLab is proud to announce the launch of Sign3D, a unique mobile application that democratises access to French Sign Language (LSF). Thanks to an interactive 3D avatar, Sign3D makes discovering LSF more accessible, engaging and customisable than ever before.

Sign3D is the result of many years of R&D, financially backed by France 2030 through the Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts). Sign3D was entirely designed by MocapLab with a clear goal: to digitise and showcase French Sign Language and make it accessible to as many people as possible. This application offers a modern and intuitive solution, made possible through an immersive experience powered by motion capture technology.

But there's more ! The app features an interactive 3D avatar. Thanks to cutting-edge motion capture developed by MocapLab , users can :

- Adjust animation speed
- Use Transparency Mode (first-person view) to see gestures as if you were performing them on your own
- Activate Left-Handed Mode for greater inclusivity
Beyond enhanced visualisation, 3D technology also allows for the standardisation of the dictionary and the anonymisation of signers, while preserving the authenticity of each gesture.
